Timeout in CAN communication with Forward looking camera (FLC)

The DTC is set active if the CAN-message GeneralInfoFLCProp has been absent for 680 ms The DTC is set to inactive if the CAN-message GeneralInfoFLCProp is received. The DTC is not set in the following cases: • ignition is turned off • first 2 seconds after ignition on • system voltage is below 22 volt • system voltage is above 30 volt • when the FLC is in initialization phase. This may last for 10 seconds after ignition on.

• Faulty FLC unit • FLC unit disconnected from the CAN bus If all connected ECUs on the sensor CAN-bus present timeout error codes the cause might be: • Defect wiring : - Short circuit between CAN-high and supply voltage. - Short circuit between CAN-low and ground. • Defect ECU unit(s) on the CAN bus.
